"Look" you said,
Your eyes guiding mine.
There on the green grounds,
We stood.
The sun above us;
Our spot light.
The occasional stare from a stranger.
But the it was just us.
Nothing mattered just our hearts
There we stood.
Among whispering voices and ideas,
We thought had died long ago.
Fighting Battles, daily.
That we always won, we are strong.
This is what people had marched for.
Men and women had gone to prison for.
So that one day you and I,
Could staand on this green land.
Unafraid, Unshaken; with hope.
And you would tell me to look down,
At our hands holding,
Our fingers intertwined.
My black, your white
